Weekend Transit Cuts Are Crippling Atlanta’s Cultural Events. Will MARTA Answer the Wake-Up Call?
"Even on a weekend when 300,000 people get together to celebrate gender and sexual diversity in Midtown Atlanta, the city’s transit authority was running its trains on a slower, “special” schedule. In one instance, it took the train as long as 42 minutes to arrive due to a power outage, while riders scrambled for alternative modes of transportation."

I loved this. FedEx truck just casually parks on the streetcar tracks while they make their delivery. I guess they thought the streetcar could just go around them?
Finally getting on the bus to leave #sc24! Found some fun things to do in Atlanta now that all the tech is done. #atlanta
Is Atlanta's downtown primarily inside? Map directed me to three coffeeshops, none of which I was able to see from the street. Eventually descended into a basement mall called the Hub and found an open Dairy Queen.
Ok, I'll admit it. Atlanta knows how to throw a party in an aquarium.
I'm visiting Atlanta in a couple of weeks for a conference. Won't have much time for biking, but what are my options for bike or scooter share, and any interesting trails I might visit?
Atlanta's Spring Street bicycle and pedestrian upgrades in the works
"The project calls for remaking one southbound lane on Spring Street—also known as Ga. Highway 9, and U.S. Highway 19—between Peachtree Street and 17th Street. Three southbound travel lanes will remain open for vehicles."
Too bad they couldn't make it two-way though. I hope there's another street with a similar plan?
