One Tampa bus route will be fare-free in 2025
"In an exciting move for public transit in Tampa, the Hillsborough Transit Authority (HART) announced that starting Jan. 5, 2025, Route 1 will be fare-free for all riders. This change will make traveling between downtown Tampa and key destinations more accessible and affordable than ever."
I think that's great, but...ONE route? How much more would it have cost to make them all free?
Tampa is moving closer to extending the streetcar
